Concert pianist Nattapol Tantikarn is recognized for his technical mastery, expressive depth, and distinctive musical voice. His international career spans across the United States and Asia, alongside recognition at major international piano competitions. His performances have taken him to notable venues including the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, Victoria Concert Hall and the Esplanade Recital Hall in Singapore, Wuxi Symphony Hall in China, and the Hult Center for Performing Arts and Beall Concert Hall in Oregon, USA.
His competition credentials include competing in the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in Japan and the Leeds International Piano Competition in the United Kingdom, as well as prizes from the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Young Artist Competition Northwest Division and the Wideman International Piano Competition in the United States.
Nattapol studied with Dean Kramer, one of the selected few pianists to have received mentorship from the legendary Vladimir Horowitz at the Mannes School of Music in New York. Nattapol further developed his artistry through masterclasses with the most distinguished pianists and pedagogues, including André Watts, Leon Fleisher, Yefim Bronfman, Angela Hewitt, Dmitri Alexeev, Jacques Rouvier, Boris Berman, and Dominique Merlet.
Alongside his performing career, Nattapol is a dedicated music educator. He served as a lecturer at the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance, where he was also Associate Director of the Piano Pedagogy Program. His expertise in piano performance and pedagogy has led to international engagements in the United States and across Asia, including performances, adjudications, and masterclasses in China, Singapore, and Thailand.
Currently based in Singapore, Nattapol maintains an international career as a performer and music educator. He teaches pianists ranging from young musicians to international competition prizewinners, combining rigorous technical training with emphasis on individuality, musical imagination, and artistic communication.
Nattapol is committed to bringing the piano and its repertoire to audiences beyond the traditional concert hall. Through his performances and original arrangements, he seeks to present the repertoire in ways that resonates with audiences of all ages and musical background.
